Motoring Law

The loss of a driver’s licence can have an effect on our daily life and create a sense of uncertainty for our family. Further, depending on your profession, the loss of the licence can mean the end of being employed. Hence it is very important you contact us immediately to represent you in order to improve your chances of not getting convicted or attempt to reduce your sentence.

We have experience with assisting clients who are charged with motoring offences, including drink driving, careless driving and dangerous driving.

We will do our best to protect you and your livelihood by seeking to get the Court to let you, for example, keep your licence or allow for a reduction in your sentence.

Funding

If you or a loved one are arrested and detained at a police station, or are attending a police station to provide a voluntary interview; one of the most important concerns, can be the cost of a solicitor to represent them or you.

Please note that anyone arrested in England and Wales is entitled to free legal advice and assistance at the police station.

We cannot stress how vital it is for you to get a defence Solicitor who you believe has your interest at heart to attend the station.

Public funding (Legal Aid) may be available for legal defence representation at either the Magistrates’ or Crown Court and we would be grateful if you would contact us to discuss your situation.

We will also advise you as to the likelihood of being granted Legal Aid and any cost implications that you may incur.

We assist clients in the completion of Legal Aid Application forms and the provision of all necessary documentation in support of such applications. Where necessary,  we will also assist with conducting appeals against the decision to refuse the grant of Legal Aid.

Private Costs

Where Legal Aid cannot be obtained, we will provide a quotation of the cost for representation on a private fee paying basis. We will provide an estimation of costs ensuring you are fully aware of all the implications involved, including instructing Counsel and expert witnesses where necessary, and any other disbursements charges.

We are happy to provide you with a breakdown of our cost to represent you in relation to any of the following matters. The following prices are exclusive of vat.
